Setting Up in Windy Conditions
The 5th sandbag makes all the difference!

No wind? Breeze Beach Shades are quite straightforward to set up 😄
Windy day? It might take a bit of practice to get it just right — but here are a few simple tips to help you lock in your shade, even on the windiest beach days 🌬️🏖️
Step 1
Pull the sandbags out wide (creating an ‘X’ shape) — the tighter the fabric, the sturdier your tent will be. Fill the sandbags to 100% and bury them, this prevents them from sliding forward.
Step 2
For family size tents (3×3 metre) you’ll find an additional (5th) sandbag. Clip this into the middle of the tent panel, on the windward side.
Step 3
Angle the poles inwards, to improve stability. You’ll get the feel of the perfect angle as you can feel the weight of the tent pushing downwards.
Step 4 (bonus tip for super windy days)
Bring the two back poles to the front and ‘cross’ them over each other. This provides even more stability in very wind conditions. This is the ‘Fort Knox’ setup of beach tents!
